Tonight was a Super Moon and since I have always been in awe of the Moon I decided to take some time after I got my son to sleep to take a walk and time for me. I find that a long walk on a cool night can really give time for clarity and a chance to reflect on the week that just ended and the week ahead.
It was so refreshing to take a moment to focus on my breath and listen to some of my favorite music that I have not had a chance to listen to in a while. I find moments like this and time for ourselves can be lost when you are a parent since all focus is usually on kids and activities but I feel that I am starting the week with new purpose and goals now that I have taken the time to pause and reflect.
I really think that I need to add Sunday evening reflection walks into my schedule to really start the week off right.
